Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Boardly. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the association you represent.
The service
Boardly provides software to help homeowners and condominium associations manage documents, dues, work orders, meetings, communications, and related tasks, including AI-assisted features ("Nola"). We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for your association. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and board access PIN confidential and for activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable use
- Use Boardly only for lawful association-management purposes.
- Do not upload content you lack the right to share, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Do not use Boardly to send unlawful, harassing, or deceptive communications.
Your data and ownership
Your association owns its data. Documents, financial records, rosters, and other content you provide remain yours. You grant Boardly a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it except with the processors described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time.
Third-party services
Boardly relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic, Twilio, Resend, and Vercel) to deliver the service. Your use of Boardly may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
Fees, billing, and cancellation
Boardly is free for associations under 15 units. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Before cancellation takes effect you may export your data.
Not legal or financial advice
Boardly and Nola provide informational assistance only. Outputs — including document summaries, draft notices, estoppel certificates, and financial figures — are not legal, accounting, or professional adviceand may contain errors. For decisions with legal or financial consequences, consult a licensed attorney, accountant, or property manager. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before relying on or distributing it.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boardly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may stop using Boardly and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or as needed to protect the service or its users. On termination, the data-handling practices in our Privacy Policy apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
